Blood Work
Comprehensive Blood Work may not be something you get in a typical medical visit. And often this results in important causes being missed. We can work together to make sure you get a thorough work up.
Testing Options
Naturopathic Doctors are able to provide you with a requisition to have blood work completed at a registered lab (such as Life Labs). Most of the tests that can be run by your family doctor can also be run by your Naturopath.
Blood work requisitioned by NDs is not covered by OHIP. However, this allows us to be more proactive and more comprehensive in which tests we are able to order. If cost is a concern, we will work together to determine the most necessary tests in order to complete your health picture. Alternatively, I am happy to work alongside your family doctor in order to determine which tests can or cannot be requisitioned by him or her, and subsequently fill in the gaps
What Tests Can Be Run?
Many of the tests that can be run by your family doctor can also be run by Naturopathic Doctors. This includes:

- Specialty Blood Tests
- Stool Tests
- Breath Tests
- Urinary Tests

I will review every test that is run with my patients and come up with a strategy for treatement and further investigation. I want you to feel confident that you understand what we have uncovered in testing. I will never tell you “everything is normal” without explaining the results line by line
